JEROME (Jon Huertas)
JEROME was Bob’s roommate and best friend in the Air Force Security Police. But ten years later, when he tracks down his old buddy, his intentions are less clear. Does he seek friendship... answers… or revenge?
Jon Huertas plays JEROME. Jon is best known for his role as homicide detective Javier Esposito in CASTLE, as Sergeant Antonio 'Poke' Espera in HBO's GENERATION KILL and Joe Negroni in the film WHY DO FOOLS FALL IN LOVE. Jon is also an accomplished producer and recording artist.
BOB (Marc Menchaca)
Since his medical discharge from an Air Force Psychiatric Hospital, BOB has tried to start his life over. But despite his family’s efforts to move on, Bob is still haunted by a three-year military career that he cannot remember.
Marc Menchaca plays BOB. Marc is an actor, writer and director. He starred in the HBO miniseries GENERATION KILL, Independent Spirit nominee SHE’S LOST CONTROL, and has worked on several TV series, including: TREME, PERSON OF INTEREST, FLASHFORWARD and recurring on Showtime's HOMELAND. He most recently has joined Jason Bateman in his Netflix series OZARK. He has produced and performed in theatre Off Broadway. His independent film, THIS IS WHERE WE LIVE, had its world premiere at South By Southwest in 2013.
LUCY (Virginia Newcomb)
LUCY is a fearless, bold, and independent spirit, who surprises even herself by letting a mysterious, broken soul like Bob into her life. Her insistence on leaving the past behind seems like good medicine to Bob… but will it be enough when the past can no longer be ignored?
Virginia Newcomb is a filmmaker, singer, & visual artist. In Film and TV, she has worked alongside talents such as Cillian Murphy and Susan Sarandon (PEACOCK), Udo Kier (THEATRE BIZARRE) and directors Jason Reitman (THE OFFICE) and Reed Morano (HALT & CATCH FIRE). 2014 held Virginia's Broadway debut in Jay Scheib’s live cinema production of Platonov, or The Disinherited which live streamed to Time Square and BAM. Virginia stars in upcoming features, UNION (a Civil War epic filming in her home state of Alabama) and the Southern Gothic, THE ATONING. Her first self produced film, THREE FINGERS about a young female Marine Veteran, is currently on a successful festival tour having garnered several jury prizes. Virginia was awarded "Best Actress" at the Breckenridge Film Festival for her performance as Lucy in REPARATION.
CHARLOTTE (Dale Dye Thomas)
CHARLOTTE seeks a closer bond with her father whom she loves, but struggles at times to understand. That bond materializes in a powerful way when Jerome shows up — and she recognizes him. As Bob’s most traumatic memories seem to bubble up from somewhere deep in her DNA, she must find a way to illustrate them for her father before it is too late.
Dale Dye Thomas plays CHARLOTTE in her film debut. Dale is a multi-talented young lady who sings, plays the guitar and the harp, crochets, rides horses, raises chickens, and runs her own small business with her twin sister, Ella, selling homemade jewelry and crafts at the Greencastle Farmer’s Market. In fact, her sister Ella helped with much of Charlotte’s artwork for the film. Her father Ron’s original song, “Building Love a Home” is featured in the film as well.
RALPH (Brody Behr)
Bob has a mysterious companion, a young boy who comes to his aid whenever Bob’s post-traumatic dissociative disorder attacks.
Brody Behr plays RALPH in his debut film performance. Brody is a vibrant 9-year-old with a personality well beyond his years. He resides with his family in Fishers, Indiana and is in the third grade. He loves sports, playing with his friends, making (and starring in his own) videos and just being outside. He began his career as the face of a well-known amusement park and can be seen all over the Midwest on billboards, drive-thru windows and even restaurant placemats! Along with modeling and printwork, he has done commercial and industrial work. His favorite job was working alongside of the famous "Azy" and other orangutans during the opening of the world-renown zoo exhibit.
MARTY (Adam Philpott)
MARTY had always looked up to his older brother, Bob. The Air Force doctors warned Marty with specific instructions to make sure Bob seeks continuing psychological help. But when his prodigal brother finally returns from his post-military fugue, Marty’s efforts to understand and help Bob are mostly frustrated.
Adam Philpott plays MARTY in his film debut. Adam is an actor based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. He's 28 years old and has been happily married for four years.
COLONEL ATREUS (Keith Szarabajka)
COLONEL ATREUS is the Air Force Base Commander who takes a personal interest in BOB’s detailed investigative police work.
Keith Szarabajka plays COLONEL ATREUS. Keith is best known for his performances in Ben Affleck’s ARGO, and as Detective Stephens in Christopher Nolan’s THE DARK KNIGHT, as well as in Costa-Gravas’ MISSING. He has appeared during seasons three and four of the FX hit series, SONS OF ANARCHY, as well has dozens of other television series and motion pictures. Keith was a member of The Organic Theater of Chicago for six years (1972-1978), and also worked at The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Yale Repertory Theatre, The Goodman Theater, Williamstown Theater Festival, The Mickery in Amsterdam, New York's Second Stage, Cucaracha Theater of New York's "Underground Soap" and New York Stage and Film at The Powerhouse Theatre/Vassar.
CHIEF FISHMAN (Drew Powell)
CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT FISHMAN is a loyal officer under Colonel Atreus in the Air Force.
Drew Powell plays CMSGT FISHMAN. Drew was born and raised in Noblesville, Indiana, and studied theatre under Steve Timm at DePauw University. He is best known for his role as Hoss Cartwright on the PAX series PONDEROSA, and for his guest roles on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, LEVERAGE, and as “Butch” in FOX’s hit series GOTHAM.
DOCTOR STOLARZ (Amy Hayes)
Amy Hayes plays Charlotte's pediatrician, DR. STOLARZ. Amy Hayes founded IndyShakes in Indianapolis for whom she played Hermione in Shakespeare's The Winter’s Tale. She created the role of Mrs. Samuelson in a Rae Dawn Chong's TV pilot The Celebrant, and Jasmine in the premier of Chris White’s Thaw at Indyfringe in September. Currently she is an Associate Artistic Director for Wisdom Tooth Productions, and teaches acting in the Directors of the Spring Spectacle of Shakespeare at DePauw University. Her husband, Andrew Hayes, was also the fight choreographer for REPARATION.
MRS. DAVIS (Gigi Jennewein)
Gigi Jennewein plays MRS. DAVIS, who hires Bob briefly as a day-laborer at her California vegetable stand. Gigi began her career at Actors Theatre of Louisville where she appeared in A Christmas Carol and Heads (from University by Jon Jory). Favorite credits include The House of Blue Leaves (Little Nun) at Live Oak Theatre, Austin; To Kill A Mockingbird (Mayella) at Civic Theatre, Indianapolis; Cabaret (Frau Schneider) at ISU SummerStage; He Held Me Grand (Mam-Mam) at IRT/Indianapolis; and Tribes (Beth) at Phoenix Theatre, Indianapolis. Jennewein's directing credits include Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice, Wilder's Our Town, and Susan-Lori Parks' Venus. She has taught acting at DePauw University for 20 years, more or less.
Gigi also played a huge role in the production of REPARATION as Location Manager and principal community liaison.
VIV (Caroline Tudor)
Caroline Tudor plays VIV, the diner waitress who eventually becomes the wife of Marty, Bob's younger brother. Caroline is from Houston, Texas and studied theater at the University of Southern California. Since graduating in 2012, she has been auditioning, working, and studying acting in Los Angeles, and was recently cast in the lead in the upcoming horror film, LAKE ALICE.
MAJOR OWENS (Rob Deas)
MAJOR OWENS, Bob’s psychiatrist at the Air Force Hospital, is played by Rob Deas, an Indianapolis-based actor who has also worked for over 12 years on the road as a concert pianist, as well as scoring and collaborating on full-length feature films.
BOB'S FAMILY TRUCK (Ol' Blue)
Ol’ Blue is a 1971 Ford F100 long-bed (but never dead) pickup truck who plays the truck that Bob & Marty inherit from their grandmother. Ol’ Blue grew up on a farm in Arcadia, OK, and later transported filmmaker, Kyle Ham, to soccer practice, school, and the recycling center through the 1970’s and early 80’s. Despite the fact that the linkage in Ol’ Blue’s “three-on-the-tree” manual shifter disintegrated the day before filming, forcing the crew to pop his hood and yank on his rods every time they need to shift his gears... REPARATION is Ol’ Blue’s motion picture debut.

Oklahoma-born filmmaker Kyle Ham studied theatre and film at DePauw University, and film directing under Joan Scheckel. In 1995, Kyle began a long-term screenwriting collaboration with playwright Steve Timm. In their body of work, Kyle and Steve focus on stories that illuminate the constant, dual struggle that characters face: to come to terms simultaneously with themselves and the world around them. Kyle is now based in Baltimore, and REPARATION is his feature directorial debut.
Steve Timm received his M.F.A. in Playwriting at Indiana University. He has written over twenty-five produced plays, most of which were produced at the Bloomington Playwrights Project, universities, and companies in Chicago and New York. FOREST GAME and DIONYSIS ON ICE, won awards at the American College Theatre Festival. DIONYSIS ON ICE also earned him the National Playwriting Award. He has been an actor, director, and designer for various stage productions as well. Steve is currently Professor of Theatre at DePauw University.
An active member of BAFTA and Vice-President of the Casting Society of America, Matthew Lessall’s credits include Sundance Film Festival standouts, Rocket Science, Mean Creek, as well as the NetFlix Find Your Voice winner Almost Kings. He has also served as Director of Feature Film Casting at 20th Century Fox and in-house casting consultant for the Fox Searchlab Writer/Director Program. As a student at DePauw University, Matthew performed as “Jerome” in the original play THE ACTIVIST in 1993 — the play upon which REPARATION is based.

Tom Proper has worked as a Post-Production Supervisor on dozens of films over the last twenty years. Tom & Kyle met working on BOYS AND GIRLS in 2000. Jay Silver is a Brooklyn-based D.P. who grew up in Chicago, IL. His credits include LAST RITES OF JOE MAY, 23 BLAST, PERSONA AU GRATIN, THE LIMBO ROOM, MARIA FULL OF GRACE (camera op), as well as dozens of shorts and commercials.
UNIT PRODUCTION MANAGER (Veronica Diaz)
Veronica Lynn Diaz is a Los Angeles based production manager known primarily for her work on independent feature films in the Indianapolis area. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a degree in Motion Pictures. She has also held a production management role on films in Chicago and Puerto Rico. Several of the films Veronica worked on have received acclaim at national and international film festivals.

Studio Unknown is a Maryland-based, full-service, Dolby® tuned facility equipped with a 5.1 dubbing stage and full in-house editorial suites and foley stage. Studio Unknown’s primary focus is on sound for film. COMPOSER (Devan Yanik)
Devan Yanik and Kyle have been friends since 8th grade. Based in Memphis, Devan has been a professional musician and songwriter for over 20 years. Having never settled on any particular musical genre, Devan plays a variety of instruments and writes many styles of music. REPARATION is Devan’s first film score.

Sonny Wingler is an Indiana-based sound mixer known for his work on PROXY, SCALENE, and TRICK MY TRUCK.
COSTUME DESIGNER (Sami Martin Sarmiento)
Sami Martin Sarmiento has worked as a designer and style consultant in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York. She studied fashion design and European costume history in Paris through her studies at Parsons School of Design and also graduated from their New York school. Sami made her entry into film with the indie feature TWEAKER WITH AN AXE (assistant costume designer) and the dark comedy short HELP WANTED. More recently, she completed work as the costume designer for CLARA’S CARMA, a short comedy film directed by Robert Brinkmann, starring Stephen Tobolowsky and Alex Dawson.

Barbara Fields Timm holds an MFA in painting from the University of Pennsylvania. She has taught at DePauw University and in the Corrections Education Program at Indiana State University. An award-winning painter, Barbara continues to produce work and exhibit regionally. Barbara created all of Charlotte’s original drawings for REPARATION.

Kim Conolly is an accomplished and creative makeup artist with experience in all aspects of the media makeup field, including film/tv, video, print, and special effects.
